Otafest 2011 is approaching, and the Calgary Go Club will once again be running a room to teach people about the game. This annual festival runs every year on May long weekend (May 20-22), at the University of Calgary.
We have two timeslots where we will be set up:
|Date||Start Time||End time||Room|
|Saturday, May 21||17:30||21:30||ST 147|
|Sunday, May 22||12:30||16:30||SA 145|
Please come help teach some newcomers about the game! Or, if you're still learning, you can come by and we'll do our best to teach you!
Call me (Steve) at 403-614-6159, if you have trouble finding the rooms. See you all there!
On March 13 2011, Liang Yu will review a game and give a lecture at our regular club meeting time. For those of you who don't know him, Liang is one of the strongest Go players in Canada, and being able to learn from him is a real treat.
We'll have lots of questions, answers, and discussion, so please come out and see what you can learn and contribute. See you then!
Hi everyone! On January 30 2011 our normal venue is booked for another event, so the meeting for that day is cancelled. But we'll be there the rest of the days!
